Living music in various experiences that coexist in our environment, reflect the spirit of this beautiful project. His model approaches the premises of the infinite development of the discipline as a musical science with systematic methodologies of teaching, interpretation, communication and dissemination. The project of the Camerata de Cuerdas del Colegio Santa María de lo Cañas was born in 2018 with the priority objective of providing the student with a theoretical-practical training in the different musical instruments, developing their technical, creative, interpretative and reflective skills around the musical phenomenon. Among the activities that the school's Camerata de Cuerdas carries out are the spring concert at the end of the year, the presentations during the traditional fair and musical presentation of graduation of middle quarters. In addition, among his projects are meetings of youth orchestras, the extension and incorporation of other instruments to the formation of the orchestra and the incorporation of the orchestra in the foundation of youth orchestras in Chile. Currently, the school's String Camerata has 16 members, who study violin, viola and cello. The study process takes place in 1 hour of instrument practice, one hour of row rehearsal, 1 hour of music theory and 2 hours of group rehearsal with its director. ASTRID CAROLINA ARREDONDO DILLEMS In 1996 she completed his training by entering the Bachelor of Arts with a mention in Music Theory at the same university. From then on, she studied chamber music with Elvira Savi, who was awarded the National Arts Prize and Professor Emeritus at the University of Chile.
As a teacher, she has participated in youth orchestra projects, including the Youth Orchestra of Lo Barnechea, Youth Orchestra of the Domingo Santa María School in Puerto Montt and the Santa María School in Lo Cañas.
In 2009 she acquired his degree in conducting, conducting the Camerata Vocal of the University of Chile and string ensemble, in Anton Bruckner's Requiem.
The same year she conducted the soloists Ángela Marambio and Gonzalo Tomckowiack, together with the Sibelius choir and the orchestra of the Ottocento de Santiago, in a Christmas concert.
In 2014 she conducted the Women's Philharmonic Orchestra in Santiago's Plaza de Armas for International Women's Day, together with Javiera Parra, Mamma's Soul and the outstanding soprano Patricia Cifuentes.
In 2015 she conducted the New Music Orchestra at the Municipal Theater of Santiago paying tribute to the native peoples.
Between 2018 and 2019 she worked as Music Director in different musical and opera concerts at UnrealStage Academy. She currently teaches music for the pre-basic and basic areas and works as director of the Chamber Orchestra of the Santa María de lo Cañas School.
